This is a nuts set of workout DVD’s. I am overweight and just shy of 40, but I have dreams of getting back into my pre-marriage body. I decided to seize the day and go for it, and I am not sorry. My muscles are currently screaming, every bit of me hurts. Every day, I both love and dread pushing play on this dvd, because I know what will happen when I do. I will spend 45 minutes gasping, lurching around, heart pounding, sweat running off me like a monsoon, desparately trying to keep up with a workout designed by fitness demigods. Afterwards, when I can catch my breath and pull myself up of the ground, I feel so good it is not even funny. Yesterday when I finished my workout and was talking to my wife, I said “You know what I feel like? I feel like I’m on vacation!”. I really enjoyed these workouts! I do like working out in general, so I am biased, but recently I’d bought some fitness dvds that were not great. Or, too repetitive/hard on my joints. I do like HIIT, kickboxing, etc., and I wanted something that I could do in a 1/2 hour if in a pinch. The first day I did the Cardio Abs and the Concentrated Abs. Now, because I had recently had been using Insanity in my rotation, most cardio feels easier, but the Cardio abs moved at a good pace. The concentrated abs had some variations on planks, etc., and both went by pretty quickly. As per Jessica’s instruction, I watched the 4 min Tabata first. The moves are not hard to follow, but will work you. You will feel it. If you were really pressed for time, you could do the Tabata segment 2x. Rest for 30-1 min in between. Today I tried the Total Body Abs Transformer using 10 lb weights and it was a sufficient workout for the time I had today. I may be feeling it in my upper arms tomorrow…Both the Tabata…

FUN workout
An honest opinion on rockin body (i do not work for beach body nor am I a coach). Rockin Body is a REALLY fun workout and Shaun T is a lot of fun to work out with. I can honestly say it is the first workout I have done in a long time that I smiled and had fun the whole way through, even the long 45 minute videos were lots of fun so i don’t mind doing them. Shaun does fly through the workouts but there is a modifier in all of the routines that slows things down if you need it. I would say if you are looking for something different and fun give this a try. I hope Shaun T comes out with more videos like these!!

I’ve been secretly wanting to try this workout for months but knew A. I wasn’t in shape and B. there is no way I’m jumping on my floor (someone elses ceiling)but I was willing to give a 20 minute workout a try and for the price it’s really a bargin. The warm up alone is heart racing and throught out the video Sean and one of the workout partners have to take a break (which doesn’t make me feel bad) As for jumping up and down YEP they have it here but I just jog in place FAST and when the video is done I go INTO MY HALLWAY AND JUMP UP AND DOWN. You really work up a sweat quickly, and who doesn’t have 20 minutes to spare (if your readingthis you have the time)even after a shower I’m sweating. It’s worth the money and feel it the next day. I just wish they would come up with something that was apartment friendly but maybe it wouldn’t be as effective. Challenging, Fun, and Funny
Pros: I hate doing aerobics and I’m not into health clubs, but when it’s cold outside, I have to compromise, so when I saw this DVD on an infomercial, I gave it a shot. I love to dance and I love hip hop. From another site, I checked out how the actual dance aerobics were and enjoyed that enough to buy this (it’s a little too expensive though).

Fat Burning Cardio: Shaun T doesn’t go so fast that you can’t keep up, but just enough to keep you energized. Plus, the man is extra funny, especially when “Don’t Cha” by the Pussycat Dolls comes on. There are those who can count steps and there are those who can really dance, and from his body movement, I’m convinced he can really work the floor. This is by far the most fun I’ve ever had when doing aerobics and I plan to go through the whole 4-week plan, especially since Chicago weather is crazy anyway so I know I can’t jog everyday like I want to. I have never written a review before today but, the person who rated this program as 1 star inspired me to. I have been an exercise enthusist for 2 1/2 years now and this program is one of the best. I’ve never done any beach body stuff before. Got this program 3 weeks ago and have already dropped 2 sizes in my slacks. It’s not easy by any means so if you’re not willing to work hard and stay with it, don’t buy it! Three weeks in and I’m still sore daily (in a good way)! I haven’t even allowed myself to “graduate” to using the exercise band and ankle weights and I’ve rescuplted many parts of my body more so than any other program I’ve done in 2 years. If you want something different and fun and have the bonus of a great “bum” then this is the program. This program is tuff, the energy is inspiring and the direction is spot on. So happy!
I love Jillian and I loved this workout. 30 minutes per day is PERFECT. Unlike soooo many other plans I’ve tried (TurboFire, Insanity, P90X) which operate on the theory that since you are getting stronger over the course of the plan you can work out longer…which may be true, but just because I’m stronger I don’t magically get more hours in the day! Those plans didn’t work for me for that reason alone. I would cut the workouts short or just skip when it seemed too daunting time-wise.

Not this one. This one I looked forward to every morning. Because I knew it was only a 1/2 hour and I can do pretty much anything for a half hour.

I lost 15 pounds and 4 inches off my waist. I didn’t have a lot to lose and I DIDN’T follow the diet plan, just stuck to around 1300 cals a day….and not every day, either. I did have some cheats over the 90 days. I ate clean, no sugar. Fruits, veggies and protein. My cheats involved alcohol, not cake ;-)

Designed around the standard Wii Remote/Nunchuck tethered controller configuration, EA SPORTS Active‘s interactive fitness program is more focused on physical activities than previous ‘fitness’ titles for the Wii, but still challenges you to have fun while developing a more healthy lifestyle. Separated into the three sections of workout, nutrition, lifestyle, and other activity, the user’s experience begins with a pep talk from Bob Greene which quickly transitions into the beginnings of action as players set up profiles, choose a virtual personal trainer and enter baseline data like age, weight, gender, fitness goals, etc. Although the nutrition, lifestyle, and other activity sections add a holistic element facilitated by a mix of surveys and data input, building fitness through physical activity is the driving force behind EA SPORTS Active and as such the meat of the content resides in the workout section. Wow what a workout!!
Ok, so I was hesitant about spending $60 on a workout game when I already owned three of them – all exclusively for the Wii. After my first 50 minute workout though I can truthfully say that this trumps all of them. It is like Gold’s Gym, the Wii Fit, and My Fitness Coach all rolled into one. After my workout, which included everything from boxing to dancing to running to shooting hoops, I was sweating profusely and feeling great!

What I liked:
- Like the Wii Fit, it incorporates the Balance Board.
- I get to pick my exercises – unlike on the My Fitness Coach
- The graphics were good, the track, courts, etc. actually made me feel a little like I was actually there.
- The running was everything the Wii Fit running was not. It counted my calories and seemed a little more responsive that the Fit.
- I appreciated the feedback I received when doing the stretching exercises… This I missed in the My Fitness Coach- there was no sensor to tell me if I was…
