Not what I expected
This dvd wasn’t what I had expected. When I purchased it, I thought there would be a workout on this dvd. To my surpise there was not. There were many ab excercises and examples of a person doing a couple of reps of each, but no complete workout to follow along with. If you are looking for some exercises to use while you are at the gym, this may be a dvd for you, but if you want a workout dvd to use at home, don’t purchase this product.

Holy Cow!!!
I got an advanced copy of this DVD from JIllian’s camp so I could blog about it. Let me give a bit of history first, I LOVED 30 Day Shred, Trouble Zones, and Six Week Six Pack the best. So, for me, this DVD is my favorite. It’s done in a similar style but there are FOUR workouts that range from “doable” level 1 notice I did not say easy) to madness level 4. I haven’t been able to do level 4 yet. I followed the DVD’s instructions and spent a week on level 1. Then moved on to level 2 and literally dripped poured sweat. Now I am on level 3. This one requires me to stop and catch my breath, but I am getting through it. So far it’s challenging, but the moves are fresh and Jillian motivates you through it. Plus, the workouts are only 25 minutes, which feels manageable to me even though they are hard core. The other great part about this DVD is that it comes with a 30 day meal plan that lives on her website (no you do not have to pay extra for it – it comes with a code so you can log in)…

Shiva Rea: Creative Core Abs

no structure/no clear instructions/very beautiful
I find this DVD a very beautiful one: the desert, the dunes, Rea’s work, the instructor’s voice is calm and clear… That is the reason why I gave it 2 stars even if I think I won’t do this workout again.

Maybe I am not but a beginner in yoga (I have been working for some months with “Iyengar yoga for beginners”), but I know basic poses and I am rather flexible and fit.

So I tried this DVD and found that the instructions weren’t clear and used to start when she was already doing the movement; she didn’t explain the complete movements/variations/poses, so you have to keep on looking at her the whole time (which sometimes is difficult and dangerous). I found myself doing one variation when she had already moved to another or to a relax pose without notice several times. Besides, she doesn’t keep a clear rythm in her movements, nor let you know how many time/breathings you’re gonna be doing that, so, again, you have to continuously look at her.

At the end…

Incredible Abs, Volume 2

Four abdominal workouts
“Incredible Abs, Volume 2″ contains the following four abs workouts.

Incredible Abs 5 (20:34) 4 stars
Incredible Abs 6 (20:07) 5 stars plus
Incredible Abs 7 (19:41) 4.5 stars
Incredible Abs 1 (20:31) 4.5 stars

With each routine being about 20 minutes, my favorite is Abs 6 because it contains the deadly seven abdominal exercises, a series of exercises done on your back. These seven really work and challenge your core. The seven are the bicycle, rolly polly, reverse crunch with toe tap, lower belly blast, side knee bend, reverse crunch with legs up, and leg drops. No equipment is needed on the deadly seven, except maybe a mat.

In addition, Abs 7 works you with the large ball and Abs 1 is also also good. All these workouts do move fast, so be ready and clear a space. Cindy Whitmarsh instructs and demonstrates on all the workouts.

Here are the breakdowns.

Abs 5 requires 1 light dumbbell (3 to 5 lbs) and a mat…

annoying but effective
I only tried this workout because it was free on Amazon Prime. The intro was pretty stupid, and I almost gave up on it before I stated. The warmup wasn’t bad. But when the actual workout started, I was pleasantly surprised. I could feel most of the moves burning nicely in my abs. I didn’t work up a sweat, but it was a nice variation to break up my usual routine. My favorite moves are the double crosswave and the reverse crunch. Also some of the slower moves help stretch out your hips and back and improve your posture. One nice touch was the little digital countdown during each set. I wish all workout videos had that! Overall, the girls remind me of stuck up sorority girls, but the workout itself was better than I hoped for.

Love it!
7 workouts that will keep your abs super tight! I can add one everyday if I have time after a cardio workout or just do 2 or 3 of them for a killer ab work out. Not a very expensive investment for abs that look great!

Great Workout!
Just received this in the mail the other day, I am very happy with my purchase. I have done several other exercise tapes, and none of them get watched more than 2-3 times…I certainly see myself continuing on with the Core Fusion tapes! I love that it comes with an exercise band, you wouldn’t be able to do the exercises with out one. You will need weights as well.
These exercises are great for people who don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to exercise and I can already see a difference in my waist and thighs from the previous DVDs I have done after just 8 days! I love fast results!
Highly Recommend!

How I got flat abs
This workout is a MUST for anybody who is serious about losing weight and getting a sexy, flat stomach. My middle has always been a problem area, so when I found this DVD I immediately tried it out. This is THE BEST ab series that I have done on DVD. I’ve taken classes at the the gym and this blows them all out of the water – and for $14.98. That’s way cheaper than a gym membership :-) Incredible Abs Series

Another great set of workouts from Jillian!
I pre-ordered this DVD & was SO excited that it was waiting in my mailbox when I got home yesterday! So I did Level 1 yesterday, then sat down and watched Levels 2 & 3, which I usually do before trying any new workout. While I didn’t find it to be quite as cardio-intensive as 6 pack abs (which I LOVE), the exercises are ALL new, mostly non-traditional & tough! The ones that are *somewhat* familiar, have a new twist on them; like instead of doing plank jacks or plank moguls as a cardio interval, we do a hybrid called ‘Plank Jack Moguls.’

Love that Natalie (from 30-Day Shred, among other Jillian workouts) is back for this one. She’s doing the ‘Beginner’ or ‘Modified’ workout, but after she shows the modified version, sometimes Jill will hand her a weight or let her show an even more advanced version of the exercise than what the other girl, Nicola (sp?) is doing. You can tell Nat kinda likes that, ’cause she’s in great shape…certainly NOT a ‘beginner!’ Both ladies look…

10 Minute Solution: Blast Off Belly Fat

Excellent variety for more than just your abs
I picked this up in part because I wanted to take a look at the ten minute cardio segment, and in part because the instructor was featured in the Lotte Berk releases, and I wanted to see if she brought any of that here. Having done some of it, I think it’s a great, varied program that can fit into a lot of people’s schedules and, as a bonus, will work more than just your abs.

The first section doesn’t include one single crunch but still has an athletic feel. This features pushups, front planks, forearm planks and side planks, with lifts for the hips (for side planks) or limbs (front planks). Of all of the sections, this was the one that felt the most Lotte Berk to me as she threw in some reminders about tucking the hips and pushing the weight back. I really liked this section, but then I like anything that doesn’t require crunches. Seriously, I felt this entire segment through my back, arms and buttock as well as my abs.

The second section featured Pilates…
