Oh my poor achy middle-aged abs!
I have two other Bob DVDs -(Inside Out Cardio and Extreme Weight Loss) so I had an inkling that this would be equally tough and I was not disappointed. I was, however, drenched in sweat and thoroughly wiped out by the end of the 50 minute segment. The 10-minute “quickie” is no cupcake either. I plan to use this to supplement my normal routine of cardio/Pilates/weights and hopefully as time goes by I will find this a little easier. Word of caution: if you have any type of knee and/or back issues you may want to modify a couple of the moves, particularly the side burpee and the aptly-named Killer Side Plank Twist. If you want a challenging workout for the core then this is your huckleberry!

Good for your Abs.
I got this DVD for Christmas 2010. I have the Bootcamp Abs and found it to be a good workout because you get to do standing ab exercises as well as those on the floor. This was going to be an even longer workout so I looked forward to the challenge.

I love the new look with the different lighting and being in the dojo instead of the stage. Billy has some new attitude in this DVD and you really feel like he has you in mind as he goes through the work out. Lots of new faces too.

Honestly, I never even noticed music once the workout started because Billy has you thinking about your abs the entire workout. The theme is to `Feel those abs working’ and if you did it right the next day you felt them.

Some of the exercises Billy repeats at a fast pace for “cardio” leave me in the dust because I don’t have that kind of speed anymore. Still some of those types of exercises I was able to follow.

You will see results!
There are plenty of other great detailed reviews on this DVD that I don’t need to repeat them here. However, if you want to know if this particular workout DVD will show you result, then my answer is YES. You will feel it after the first time and notice a difference the next morning after your body has had a night of rest. If you do this workout every other day or just 2 days a week (give those muscles time to rest), you will notice results because there is not a muscle that makes up your core that does not get attention in this workout. My advice is take your time and focus on the forms to get them right. No need to keep up with any counting, just do what you can within the one minute time frame allocated — focus on your form. You will notice that the constant transition from one move the the next will keep your heart rate up, so you really do get a good aerobics workout in the process.
