  1. I'm bloating on a regular basis! Sometimes it's so painful that I can't stand on my feet and I just have to kneel on the ground! I found that I have IBS when I was 11-12 and then the lactose and gluten intolerance appeared, sometime I can't eat fruits/vegetables without having really painful cramps and gas. It's a nightmare! Although it's a very uncomfortable condition, I am glad that people like Chloe break the stigma around it that causes people to feel embarrassed or ashamed around others when their symptoms appear and that sometimes it's completely normal. I still struggle to adapt to it after so many years and it upsets me how many foods I have to avoid but I think it is part of the journey to learn to accept it and learn how to deal with it!

  2. I bloat and have excruciating cramps from IBS caused by gluten and soya, plus I'm lactose intolerant *rolls eyes*. Thankfully I have lactase enzymes, and also ones which help digest gluten & soya which means if I do eat out I have more choice these days. Peppermint oil is the best solution to bloating for me, or peppermint tea.

  3. Another thing is eating the same food too often, as a Colombian I used to eat rice everyday with lunch and dinner, I thought it wasn't the rice, because "I've eaten this my whole life", well, that was precisely the reason I was getting into trouble; then I thought I solved the problem forever but I was wrong, I had the same approach to eggs and other stuff, had to take them out of my diet for some time and start including them again with care, not repeating them more than twice a week. This helped me a lot, as well as what Chloe mentioned.
